Choir ...

MUSIC plays an important part in the life of the congregation, and St Alban's has been fortunate in having the services of a succession of distinguished organists and continuum of choirs of high standard. Three choirs exist at St Alban's:
Alban's Angels
-
Choir practice is held in the Choir Gallery at St Alban's from 5:30p.m. to 6:15p.m. on Wednesday [during school term], as well as a 30 minute warm-up before a service. They sing at the 10:00a.m. Eucharist on 2nd and 4th Sundays [excepting School Holidays] and at festival Eucharists for Christmas, Easter and Christ The King.
-
Generally for ages 8 and above -- although there are no set age restrictions.
Senior Choir
-
The senior choir sings at the 10:00a.m. Choral Eucharist service on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Sundays each month as well as at Choral Evensong, accompanied on the church's fine Letourneau pipe organ.
-
The senior choir learns a wide range of music, from plain-song to contemporary composition. Practice is on Wednesday in the Church from 7:45p.m. to 9:30p.m. A week-end camp is held once a year.
